Tip: Others who are running a similar setup you can use the program Ultramon to edit a Steam shortcut that will switch your primary monitor to your TV when run. so this plus -bigpicture should equal one click Steam BPM on your TV. Will test this later.
This shortcut will open steam in big picture whether or not steam is already running:
C:\<Path To Steam>\Steam.exe -start steam://open/bigpicture
There is a checkbox in settings specifically for this problem. No typing is needed.
Interface>"Start Steam in Big Picture Mode"
This isn't working on my system with the most current Steam version. Even though I have ticked the box Steam doesn't start in BPM. It only works if I select "Automatically start Steam with Windows" and creating a shortcut (like C:\<Path To Steam>\Steam.exe -start steam://open/bigpicture) in Autostart at the same time. Hopefully Valve will fix this any time soon.
Yep, this works the best. Although it's broken since the last steam client update 7/29.

It's impolite tell Oke'd that he/she is rude. I don't think your reponse is justified. An apology to Oke'd would be nice but I understand if choose not to.
Best of luck!
