Controller problem (PS4) with non-Steam game (Minecraft Java) via Big picture

Hello,
After many fruitless searches and contacting Steam support, I landed here to find help.
With my PS4 controller via Big Picture (where the controller works) I can't play a non-Steam game (Minecraft Java Edition), whereas it worked and still works on my old PC running Windows 10.
My old PC being outdated (2016), I bought a new PC running Windows 11 with the Xbox app pre-installed, which I didn't have on my Lenovo Yoga 510. Minecraft installs and links automatically with the Xbox app (even installing in its folder).
I manage to link the Minecraft Launcher to the Steam library, it starts up, and like on my old PC the controller doesn't work on the Launcher, but this time it doesn't work either when Minecraft Java is open, whereas before (and currently still) it does on my old PC which is running Windows 10.
Could it be Windows 11, or the Xbox app, or the localization of Minecraft files, or something else that's preventing my controller from working now? (Yet I've tried to move these files several times without any change... I've enabled PS controller recognition and I've already played Steam games on my new PC with it).
If you ever have any suggestions or questions, I'd love to hear from you...

steam -> library -> select game -> gear -> properties -> controller -> disable steam input
