Big Picture Mode will not Sleep/Suspend Automatically

I am getting a little confused by the Sleep/Suspend function within Big Picture. I have noticed when I leave the computer idle Big Picture Mode doesn't not allow my computer to sleep.

I went to check powercfg -requests in windows and while big picture is running I see no requests blocking the sleep function. I am able to manually imitate sleep through the Suspend Button in BPM and wake but no matter what BPM seems to block the automatic sleep function.

I also tested with Steam completely shut down and my computer can sleep automatically, I also tested with Steam open but not in BPM and my computer was able to sleep. I tested with any USB device removed and USB device also remaining inserted and in all cases the computer sleeps automatically outside BPM but when BPM is on the computer refuses to sleep.

Is this a bug in BPM and if so why is it happening if the PC reports no requests in powercfg?

Steam will send activity to the system when your controller has input. Does the computer sleep if you disconnect all controllers? Does you joystick have any other issues around deadzones?

Steam Link does not go to sleep or turn Steam controller off if one is at Steam link UI where one selects device to stream from (in my case desktop). Tested this with the Steam client running and not running on desktop. Steam Link/Controller will not go to sleep in BPM as well.

It was going to sleep prior to today's update. I had it set to sleep after 5min last night and it (Link) went to sleep and Steam controller shut off. After today's update that no longer works at all. Even tested in BPM and a no go as well.

In my experience, BPM (old and new) blocks automatically entering sleep mode from timeout, but will sleep if "sleep" or "suspend" is actively selected by the user.
The block on timing out is of particular annoyance when ending remote stream.

Late last night (prior to update today) the Link sleep worked fine. I had it set to sleep after 5min. I set the Steam controller down and waited 5min. Link went to sleep and controller shut off.

Today Steam client updated and that no longer works.

Big picture mode is part of Steam Link. Well it's supposed be until the new BPM made havoc of it. LOL!
