steam crashes/ slow to recognize when using bluetooth controller
steam takes about 3 minutes to realize that I have connected either my xbox one controller or PS4 Controller through bluetooth and steam often freezes when I connect or disconnect it over bluetooth. Is anyone else having this problem? any way to fix it?

I've been having this problem. Sometimes steam just refuses to recognize my controller at all (even over USB)

@Dr.Everett Mann: I see messages in your logs about connectivity issues w/ the Steam Input servers. Are you running a VPN or have any other particular things about your network that might cause issues?

@jpschwartz44: Are you connecting 4 Xbox controllers at once? In your logs I always see them as a group of 4.

The only thing remotely network related I run is a VirtualBox adapter. Even when I'm offline it doesn't work. It's just randomly dropping the input or not picking it up at all
no I'm not connecting 4 controllers at once, I am connecting different kinds of controllers though (xbox one and PS4). but I found a work around sort of in my situation. My on board bluetooth adapter in my motherboard seemed to not work with my controllers. So I got a USB bluetooth adapter. Everytime I boot up my pc though, I have to uninstall my on board bluetooth adapter driver though. Works fine just usuing the USB bluetooth adapter, no freezing or slow down at all.

It also happens when I'm connecting over USB, though that method is what causes Steam to crash to most

It seems to be related to windows going to sleep/uptime > 12hrs. A restart seems to fix all my issues.

Has your issue come back at all? I have a Bluetooth adapter but I'm still getting slow downs.
