Vectronic Beta Tester's Group.

Welcome to the Vectronic Beta Tester's Group.

Vectronic is a first-person puzzle mod based of of Valve's Source Engine. Player's solve puzzles by firing energy balls at boxes to cause them to do strange effects.

If you where invited to this group you should already have (or about to have) access to the beta files. The beta will be updated frequently, and there will be a purpose to have the folder after the mod is released.

New updates will be announced via announcements. Please check back here from time to time.

To report an issue, please create a new discussion. To keep it neat, please make sure you have one issue per topic and do your best to describe the issue. Use screenshots if necessary.

I decided to use the Steam Group method as it should be a lot better to announce updates and track issues.

Please make the best of this group. More people will be added as needed.

As of the 1/5/15 update, Vectronic now runs on a modified version of the Alien Swarm branch. Here is how to install the newer version Vectronic.

1. Download and install the Source SDK Base 2010[github.com] from my Github.

2. Copy and place the Source SDK Base 2010 folder under your ..Steam/Steamapps/common folder with your other games.

3. Now copy the vectronic_beta folder from your Dropbox folder and paste it in ..Steam/Steamapps/common/Source SDK Base 2010.

4. To run the game, click on run_bat for a windowed session, or run_bat_fullscreen for a fullscreen session.


1. Move the vectronic.fgd from ../Source SDK Base 2010/vectronic_beta/fgd to ..Steam/Steamapps/common/Source SDK Base 2010/bin.

2. Make sure that Vectronic has an entry in the GameConfig.txt under ..Steam/Steamapps/common/Source SDK Base 2010/bin, and make sure that all paths are correct!

3. Run SDKLauncher. In the drop down box, set it to "Vectronic"

4. Click the selection of tool you wish to open.
