What we aim to achieve

We have created a server for people who want one thing from their Minecraft experience: pure survival multiplayer, as it was intended.The server has been online since May 2011 and has flourished since its creation.

It thrives on the ideals of simplicity and friendliness and has become a great place to do what you like best; play Minecraft.You might ask yourself how we achieve this. The answer is really simple. We established the server to be a place where we could play survival without the nonsense that the majority of servers have.

How do we do this?

We have the classic look and feel of a vanilla server, but we have carefully selected a few plugins which take nothing away from the core game play and instead only boost security and bring peace of mind to our players.

Let's face it, pure vanilla can be a frustrating experience, particularly when having little to no protection from the actions of others. Here, chests and doors can be locked, and you can rest assured that if anything happens, it can be undone by our team of dedicated staff. This means you can get down to playing with the worry of being griefed, or something equally as frustrating. You can just play!

Rules

1. No x-ray, flying, speedhacking, airbuilding or likewise hacks.
2. Behave respectfully towards others.
3. Do not break any blocks placed by others.
4. Do not modify blocks or harm animals on others property.
5. You are free to build in the wild, away from other builds.
6. You may only build in a town with permission from the founder.
7. Keep no more than 50 mobs/animals in one area.

Map Reset 15th December

As voted for in the straw poll we will be resetting the map mid-December.

KEY TRANSFER BOX INFORMATION

- There will be ONE shulker box per player with no exceptions.
- Anyone found to be circumventing this rule will have their transfer box removed and serve a three day temp ban upon reset so please do not do it!
- Store your shulker box at /warp ministorage
- Prepare your transfer skulker box before 13th December.
- TNT party will be on 14th December!(edited)
:: RESET Q&A ::

There have been some questions regarding the reset so I thought I'd post a quick summary.

Q: Wasn't the reset date set for Memorial Day Weekend each year?
A: Yes it was. However when we set the date it meant that the current version of the map would be around 18 months old by the time the first reset happened. We decided that it would be better to vote on a reset and bring the date forward since the map has already become stagnant and the original reset date is still 6 months away. - Better to admit that we were wrong in setting a date so far in the future and correct it than wait and watch the server become a ghost town.

Q: I’ve only just joined, I’m not sure I want to restart already.
A: We understand that it is frustrating to newer players to reset so soon after joining, however it is difficult to time a reset when new players join frequently and someone will always be in that situation. The most we can offer is that you will now start on a level footing with everyone. See it as an opportunity to build new things and maybe even start a town with some other players to get started quicker?

Q: I had big plans and I haven't finished them yet
A: The map will be available for download after the reset and you can also request that an OP make a schematic of parts of you build to that you can import them in to a single player world if you wish. Unfortunately, frequent resets keep the server fresh and exciting so very big project rarely get finished on a live map.

Q: I REALLY want to carry on working on my build
A: For the first time in VC history we are working on a couple of ways in which we can bring a few select builds with us to the new map. There will be rules to this and it will not be a case of bringing your entire base with you. More on this soon.
