No pretension, no algorithms. Just immersive escapism and honest gaming.

Personally, my gaming is about stepping into another world, settling in, and finding your rhythm. I don't believe in a mythical "best game"; instead, I feel the games we play should always be fun, engaging, immersive, and respectful of our time and money. I also wholeheartedly support games being used as therapy, which I've been a part of for many, many years.

My reviews are always going to be two paragraphs: an immersive, in-character narrative passage, followed by a concise and honest review. My reviews won't be wordy or technical, as most of that info you can find on the games' store page anyway. There's a ton of review styles, this is my anti-algorithmic approach. If you appreciate my unique take or enjoy truly losing yourself in addictive game play loops, you're in the right place.

Escapism: Rich, atmospheric worlds built for deep immersion and focused, satisfying solo play, with optional multiplayer as a bonus.
Rewarding: Enjoyable game play, rewarding achievement hunting, a bonus for active Steam trading card support.
Lasting: High-value replayability, robust new game+ modes, and worlds that keep giving.
Intuitive Play: Clean, accessible controls that keep you in the moment. Great controller and Steam Deck/Steam Input support is always a massive plus.

Please note, I generally steer clear of:

• Side-scroller, Metroidvania, and pure Puzzle games.
  
• Heavy pay-to-win (P2W) mechanics.
  
• PvP-only or forced non-consensual PvP.
  
• Click-to-move-only or keyboard-only controls.
  
• There's always exceptions of course!
