Dungeon Siege 1-2 Mods !

Hello everyone!

To install these mods simply put files ending in (.dsres) in the "resources" folder you find in the dungeon siege directory.

And files ending with (.dsmap) in the "maps" folder.

Some mods require that you have the extension Legend of Aranna installed to work, so make sure you read the mod's description and have my fix installed.

All Saves Tool (Load/Convert old saves)

I think there is one thing is missing in Killah's guide: "All Saves" tool.
Without it, you may not be able to load or convert old saved games (for instance, if you re-installed Windows or downloaded saves elsewhere).
Using this tool, I was able to convert old characters to Broken World.

I downloaded and installed "DS2BW_AllSaves_v2.msi", which is actually an archive with few files:

• DS2BWAllSaves.exe
  
• DS2BWAllSaves_ReadMe.txt
  
• ElysDS2BWAllSaves.dll
  
• ElysDS2BWAllSaves.ini

Killah, maybe you could extract these files and add to your guide? Unless there is better way to load old saves, which I don't know about.

Dungeon Siege 2 Charakter

Hey guys , first i have to apologize for my bad english,

i have one little problem i found this guide that i can play broken world on steam.
so my quiestion is : can i somehow transport my charcter from steam into broken world mod(fix)

it would be nice if someone can help me

There's an option in the menu:

When converting your hero, be sure u have the 6 heroes in your party selected that you want to keep. anybody in the inn will be immediately lost. That includes animals and equipment in their inventories. Place all extra equipment in your chosen heroes inventory to keep it, before you leave DS2 to convert into Broken World.

How do I import characters from the original campaign into my game?

Before converting the heroes into Broken World, please note that once converted the characters will not be usable by the original game.

If you wish to convert a hero, load up Broken World. From the main menu goto "Single Player".

This gives three options "Create New Hero", "Delete Hero", "Convert Hero".

Select "Convert Hero".

This will show the heroes that Broken World can detect from the original game, select your hero using the left and right arrows, then press "Convert"

Clicking Convert will not give you any confirmation on screen that it was successful, however the next screen will allow you to see your old hero alongside the new heroes in Broken World.

You will now be able to click on "Next" to move into the game with your converted hero.

If it shows no heroes to convert, then please check the folder where the heroes are kept for Dungeon Siege 2 :

"My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2\Save\SinglePlayer"

Make sure this has a folder with the name of your hero. If this folder is not found,then Dungeon Siege 2 is saving your heroes in a none default location. You will need to move the heroes folders to this location and repeat the process.

All Saves Mod Help

I installed a couple of item mods for Dungeon Siege 2 and then I realized I couldn't load an existing save, I got the All Saves Mod but then when I tried to open it through the allsaves application while it was loading it just crashed, without any error popping up. Can anybody help me with this? I'm using Windows 10 and I only have vanilla Dungeon Siege 2 (no broken world) I used the 2.2 All Saves Mod

Lands of Hyperborea

Let's get back to old school DS1.

Would you like to play something challenging? How about something where you start from scratch with a pitiful knife and have to work hours on end to get something decent to fight back with.
Something which no other mods are compatible with.
Something that will not allow you to use any form of cheating
Something with dozens of different races to choose from.
If you really think DS2 is all there is and it just doesn't get better, then you haven't played Lands of Hyperborea.
It can seem difficult to install but to be honest its really easy.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get the other classes to work using steam. Only the human male/female and the NPC's that you can get to join your party, 7 NPC'S in fact bringing your party to a total of 8 characters. These other classes do work however if you play from the DS1 disk installation, If anyone out there reading this could help me with this part of steam compatabiltry I would reall appreciate it. I'm thinking is it has something to do with the Shortcut link and it's properties
First Warning!!! Don't just download from anysite that pops up as I have ran into several unsafe sites in my search to find out why the other races will not work.

Second warning!!! Do not, and I repeat do not take your buffed up high level charactor in the game of Hyperborea and expect to slash you way through it with ease. You will lose everything and I mean everything. Your charactor will be stripped of all your pretty things and you will find your skill level at zero, ha ha. I pity that fool because I have done it and lost untold pretty things.
Be sure and read the read me about these warnings because the author Xaa was intent on making a very difficult, demanding and long playing mod for our enjoyment.
There are hidden secrets all through this game several of which I still haven't found after years of play.

I'm also up for Circle of Lorent if interested, although it's time play is shorther it still is very cool. In fact if you reach the desert it's unbeatable. For that mod I do actually bring in my saved cheating spells and major slash weapons that are buffed because you cannot beat the desert without them. When you go into the 2nd of 3 levels of hardness even the best of cheats cannot beat it.

importing ds2 chars to expansion - inn bug?

The killah mod doesn't recognize my ds2 vanilla saves.
And if I do it through another mod, then occurs the inn bug (losing all inn chars after dismissing from party)
any solution?

Hello. I started to play DS1 with my bro, but we encounter problem that mages are underpowered. Does there some mods that can fix this? We tried DSX but this mod very unbalanced.
