All large tribes now, except the alpha: exo and friends, are now inactive. People are still joining of course, and playing solo. I have created an alliance for regulars who dont raid eachother to stop friendly fire.

Many of the large bases scattered around the map are in states of decay and are ripe for looting, personaly this is how i've been avoiding farming resorces for so long, that and carefully removing CS buildings that are in our tribe and no longer in use (being we've merged two former large tribes into ours, thats a lot!)

Only one portion of a base from an inactive tribe still has active auto turrets, and only one other base has defences still working in the form of plants.

There are still active bases with defences up too ofc, so its not entirely a free for all.

Another option would be to add an offline god-mode protection for users and potentially dinos, but this is more of a workaround than a solution.
Please don't take this comment as criticism of your administration but as a suggestion to improve up-time and a notification to you of how your players feel about the servers current state, hopefully allowing you to improve on whats already a great server.

I hope that you can address the reliability as this is a disappointing downside of what is a well established and friendly server that I would suggest for new players. As you can see in the server rankings the player numbers are diminishing and rank decreasing the more the server is down, and you can not blame people for that. As a member of what seems to be the most active tribe-alliance now on the server i can say this goes beyond inconvenience and often leaves both our characters, dinos and bases extremely vulnerable as we are usually active at the time and have bases left open and are out exploring the hostile environment with our dinos when it crashes, and are left with an unknown time-frame until the server is back up and we can re-secure our tribe. often meaning the server will return to action and the environment killing us (and those of us who have passive dinos, them too) and leaving us with no way to recover our items as they de-spawn before we realise the server is back

Being a previous server owner I understand the challenges of keeping a server in a constantly updating game running smoothly, but it seems you have no automatic server restarting or updating, maybe this is something you can look into? As previously suggested you could have the server restart every 24+ hours and run an update prior to launch. You could also run the server as a system service and have it restart on failure, the only thing that would then prevent the server from restarting would be a process loop hang.

I'm sorry that I feel the need to make this comment as I think this server is well set up and balanced when in game, and even has a great ping considering the distance between myself and the server. Lag might be the number one complaint you receive but that is due to the games poor optimization exaggerated by the multiplier mods you run, and not anything you can fix without completely re-balancing the game from how you intended it to be for us.

Server updated to v245.98, but mods are still outdated

Yup, seems to be it can only be because the owners do manual restarts, right now we are all at v245.98, but the server is v245.93.
Usually for larger updates it will force a restart itself, but not always. Which is why i think they should add a daily restart, just incase of updates to mods or the game.. Never seen a restart in my time on the server, and i've been up alot lately

1 daily restart would be a good idea if you dont already have it guys, ark updates pretty much everyday anyways. Would have fixed this mods out of date issue atleast, and if it were to happen again.

Rumors are going around that the owner is shutting the server down at the end of the Month. Can get get a confirm or deny? Just need to know if I need to move on before anymore effort is put into the game. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the server these past two weeks.
