Modern Warfare 2 - The Tactical Way - NoRun&Gun -

Rules and Regulations for Tactical Playing


Please keep the following rules in mind while playing MW2 the tactical way. These rules have to be abided by all players.







1. Running

Running is only allowed in situations of combat when you have to:
- evade enemy fire or enemy grenades
- cross open areas that have no cover or
concealment

This "Runing" is only allowed for the time you need to get cover. In all other situations you have to move in a "crouched" or "laying" position.

2. Jumping

Don´t jump while shouting or jum to avoid fire. This is strictly prohibited. We also do not allow bunny hopping or matrix "wiggling" to avoid fire.


3. Use of Iron Sights

You must use fire your weapon as it is raised, using your Iron Sights. Shooting from the hip is allowed in emergency use only, such as when you turn the corner and an enemy is there.

4. Have fun and respect other players. Don´t use foul language.

We made a test today and nothing really works.
You have to start a private game again and again - there is not automatic map change. You have to make a new setup again and again and the setup is a joke.

In other words: Stupid people do stupid things and the developer of this must be damn stupid.

On Sat. 21.11, 20.00 hours - 24.00 hours(WesternEuropean Time) the TPO will invite all known tactical player to a tactical private match.

With this test TPO would like to check if:

1) All players get an invitation and can join the match at any time beginning from 20.00 hours.

2) If its necessary that the host of the private match has to be "active" all the time during game play ( so we can see if it is necessary that the person who opens the private game has attend the game all the time.) This is important to determine people for oppening private games in order to provide a "Playground" for tactical players.

Please join this match so we can work out how this Iwnet-stuff really works.

I know that most members of the tactical community don´t like the idea of playing MW2 on the Steam IWnet server because it is not a dedicated server. I dont want to heat up this discussion any further - there are many interesting views on the forum topic: Interesting MW2 thread - instead i am trying to figure out ways to play MW2 tactical.
How could it work?
On IWnet you can launch private games and also invite some "friends"....
and so on

This is a group of player who also like to play MW2 Tactical.

MW2 TACTICAL REALISM (MW2TR)


The MW2 TACTICAL REALISM group is for players who want teamplay based games focused on realism and not run and gun twitch gameplay. Members of this group will agree to play by set rules including: crouch movement at all times unless under fire or avoiding explosives, no bunny hopping, no spawn camping, no martyrdom or last stand perk. Other rules may be forthcoming. The intent of this group is to be a place for tactical players from MW1 to be able to meet up and play. This group is invite only. You must be a regular player I've played with on the SK Tactical Realism, SA Tactical Hardcore, 105 clan, or MSOB clan servers to qualify for an invite.

There are many guys here who would like to play MW2 the tactical way ( see rules for tactical playing only). We should find a way to work this out.
