Yeret Israel!

Israel is a country in the Middle East with a high Jewish population. It has existed since Biblical times when the Jewish people moved into Canaan, as recorded in the Bible.

The State of Israel was created in 1948 at the objection of the Arab powers, and unlike the rest of the world, didn't recognise Israel and invaded Israel, starting the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict. In the late 70's conflict with Egypt ended after a treaty with signed by Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli PM Menachem Begin. The treaty evoked Arab outrage and ended in Sadat's assassination.
