You... removed the back button???...

(Steam mobile app on android) When opening a game from the store page, there is no back button in the top left corner. Used to be I could click my phones back button and it would go back and I would still be at the same spot on the store page. Now when I click my phones back button it closes the app. If I reopen the app, it is still in the games page. If I close it again and open it again, still on the games page. I have to literally go to the drop down and click go to store. I then lose my place on the store page. PLEASE PLEASE JUST ALLOW ME TO GO "back" ONE PAGE instead of closing the app to go back a page. Thank you Valve!

Ah, I do not. I wonder what's up. I was in stable release and switched to beta to see. It appears now I can use my phones internal back button sometimes, from a games page, but also sometimes not. And it seems if I go to a sales page, for example, the "rockstar games sale" page, then I can not go back. It simply exits steam when I click back. No back button in top left corner. Backing up with phones back button closes the app. :(

The app doesn't seem to always correctly recognize when you navigate to another page. So that prevents the arrow from showing up, and makes using the android back action close the app.

This issue seems to occur most consistently when first opening the app: navigating to another store page from the store home has no arrow. But if you press the store tab from the tab/navigation bar to go back to the home page and then go to another store page the arrow shows up as expected.

It's a pretty annoying bug.

Hey thank you Crater! You are absolutely correct, this is an annoying bug and that IS how you get around it! Unfortunate, but now that I know the workaround I can at least deal with it! Thank you again! 😀

- Fixed an issue when navigating back in the Store and focus was in Store search

I'm not sure if this patch note was specifically referring to this issue or another navigation issue, but it does seem to have improved a bit in the 3.9.8 update, but only a bit.

It seems now navigating through two consecutive pages causes the back arrow to show up on a fresh launch of the app, but this still means trying to back won't return all the way to the store home page.
