You might say, "Well, this could defeat the purpose of the authentication/confirmation section," but there could be a message that pops up stating some type of warning of what you're doing. So you basically have like a two-step layer of authentication before submitting to the steam market.
it is too tedious and takes too much time when you're doing bulk selling. I just want to sell my stuff and click a button on my phone that says yes I would like to check all these items for the marketplace and not have to spend 45 min - hr trying to click all my boxes just to sell. plus if I'm trying to sell 750 csgo cases or something I can only do a max of 250 cases at a time. time just adds up and it becomes tedious as you said.
Hey, i just made a discussion post about this. i got the same views as well. hopefully, we can get enough attention to maybe get this implemented.
For high priced market listings and trades is good to double-check before being sorry.
My two cents!
We do not allow multi-selecting trade confirmations since those have a lot more detail than can be displayed in the list view. Only market listings can be confirmed multiple at a time.
well, people don't sell high price items in bulk. life for me i have 2k of the same item that's around 1$ and when i sell i know all its going to be the safe price regardless. so if had that auto-select button it would help out a lot.
I'm not talking about selling in bulk so hear me out: What if you have three different game skins which are not cheap and you decide to list them on market? For two of them you input the right price but the last one you price it for $5 or $50 instead of $500.. then you proceed to confirm the listings all at once with one button without having to check the prices one by one.
What will happen is that you will lose some $$ and many others more! Mistakes like this are happening right now when we have to double-check and confirm one by one so what if they add the confirm all button? There will be more mistakes to be made!
If this will be implemented in the new app then please only allow market listings to be confirmed multiple at a time only if their current market price (NOT the listing price) <= 1$ or equivalent for other currencies. The confirming multiple listings at a time option would work for trading cards, backgrounds, emoticons or cheap game cases or skins. By doing so the app will force all sellers to double check their prices one by one for their expensive skins.
yes, you can confirm multiple at a time on the market listing, but you have to click each one individually. the max you can do is 250 items then you create the listing. in order to click 250 takes like 5-7 min. plus, if im putting like 1.5k worth of items on the market its going to take me 30 min.
THIS IS ONLY FOR SELLING ON THE MARKETPLACE. you have to go through a couple of hops already just to sell something. by allowing the auto-select button for trading it will save so much time. SPECIFICALLY, people who sell stuff in bulk.
I think the OP did not mean trades from player to player. He means the normal items like cards for example to put up on market with just one click. When I wanna sell over 100+ cards I have to tick the checkbox for each of them one by one and it takes really really long. Isn't it possible to make a checkbox which allows to tick all items at once? That would be a big help and would really save me some time in the future.
Nevertheless, it's already good that there are far fewer confirmation errors in the new app. I've noticed a nice change.
