[Win10] No audio is recorded in Steam Game Recordings

This is an odd one, as I'm unsure how to proceed with the troubleshooting. I found a few people with similar issues but not 100% the same, so I'm making a new thread.

The Steam Game Recording does not appear to record any type of audio for me. I've tried all three options, and I even allow Steam to record my mic. Unfortunately it records nothing, so all my clips and recordings have no sound. I've checked my sound mixer and Steam is not muted, nor is my desktop or game sounds. I also have tried running Steam in admin mode, I've changed my UAC to allow everything and I've even tried different disks to save the game recordings on. Sadly, no solution has been found and my clips continue being mute.

Currently I only play a handful of games and the "no audio is being recorded" issue is spotted across all of them. I tested this against Nvidia's Shadowplay, and shadowplay does record all sounds properly, so I don't think it's my mic or permission settings. I suspect it's a bug in the Steam Game Recording, but I don't know how else I can test this or find a solution for it. Would be thankful for any advice!

Edit: Alright, so it's been solved (for now). I had to switch my Audio drivers. I was using my headphones which used my motherboards audio, but I switched it to go fully through my AMP/DAC (Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen). Now I have another issue with the voice recordings on the Game Recordings, but I've commented it another thread.

In case others have the issue, here's the info needed:
Steam Beta version 1726683985 on Windows 10. Issue is in all games, using a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with latest drivers (v.561.09). Other software I use that capture audio devices (incl. game audio) properly are Discord, Shadowplay and OBS.

The issue was fixed temporarily for me by switching audio drivers, but it's easier said than done because I have an AMP for my mic. But indeed, I also have the bug again, but now only in Deadlock (the valve game) - seems to work with other games, so it's likely broken only for that.

Same here, video no audio. Win11. Ive got it set for in-game audio only and was using bluetooth speakers connected to my PC. Boooo...its just not the same with out some Pew Pew.

I have the same problem. there is no sound in the game, but when I click "whole system" everything is fine, but I don't need it. I don't want people to hear my discord. if you find a solution to the problem, I will be glad. It also happened to me just yesterday.

Its annoying how one minute its working fine, then 2-3 days later its broken again :(
few weeks it wasnt recording clips at all....and all my recordings I wanted showed 0:00

Kinda the same here but if I Check the Option to "Record all Audio" it does as it says
if I Check "Only Game Audio" It doesn't Record any Audio.
for Example I've Set my CS Audio to my "Sennheiser IE 100 Pro" and not the "Default" Option in the Games Audio Settings
