Discord playback issue
Kind of a niche issue, but when posting clips on Discord that were exported via steam game recording, the clips do not play for some people, not all though. I suspect it is based on if they have hardware acceleration on or off. It is a consistent issue for the same people with steam game recording clips and videos rendered with other software work fine for them

I have this issue too. It started when the clips official release happened. For me, the clip sends and can be played, but is just a still image with sound... very strange. And it always does it, weather I copy paste it or export it. It's so bazaar to me

Just ran into the same issue myself. I can view it just fine on my PC, but when trying to share it on Discord it seems to just be a still image with sound

Can not view them on my PC but can on my phone, clip is just an image with sound. Something is wrong with the MP4 encoder I assume, works fine on all devices when manually encoding with h264.

I have the same problem but it only exists on PC client, everything works fine on mobile. On PC just frozen image with sound.
Disable "Enable HEVC (H.265) video codec" in "Steam>Settings>Game Recording". either a lot of devices flat out do not support H.265 and/or Discord does something catastrophically dumb and breaks the file. it'll bump it down to 64 which I believe a lot more devices can play and Discord 100% officially supports. GPU encoding hasn't caused any issues for me but if it's still busted you can try turning it off

So I did this and it wasn't enough on it's own. When I was exporting the video I also had to set the codec manually to H.264 for it to work on the test clip I made as, for some reason, the change in the overall settings didn't carry over.

Thank you for the help though
