Game recording buttons stop working

I've been using steam's game recording feature and have noticed a bug from time to time.
When I clip something in the overlay and leave it, after some time passes, I can't interact with the recorded timeline any more, "hide video" also stops working as well as the rest of the buttons related to game recording. Buttons on the bottom still work though but I could not manage to fix game recording related issue without restarting the game.
It also seems to work outside the game without any issues even when the game's still running.
This does not happen often and I couldn't really figure out what's causing the issue.

It just happened again, I clipped 5 seconds, copied it and left it like that. I'm playing Yakuza 0, not sure if that has anything to do with it
