Unable to Remove Background Recordings from Steam Library

I’m having trouble removing background recordings from my Steam library. I’ve tried several approaches, including manually deleting the files from my Steam directory, but they still remain in the library.

I reached out to Steam Support and asked if they could help by manually deleting them. They recommended posting here to see if the community or dev team could assist.

I also came across this potential solution:

"I had the same problem and I was able to fix it. Just go into desktop mode, then follow this path /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/userdata. Look for the gamerecordings folder and delete all files under timelines as well as video. The correct ones are in the clips folder, so no need to delete them. Hope it helps."

Unfortunately, even after trying this method, the recordings still seem to persist in my library.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or found another solution?

I have the same problem. And i try anything - not working

I have used all possible and impossible methods of deleting, but the background recording video is still displayed in the media, although the video itself has stopped working.

You're able to delete it in your files by going to user data and then game recordings, but yeah it still remains in media folder on your steam library even though the video is unwatchable at that point. This is what steam support has said to me:
"Unfortunately, there is no way for us to remove it.

As what we've mentioned, kindly report this issue through our official forum and our development team is actively following these discussions.

Please also note that support does not provide any information on upcoming or planned fixes regarding issue."
