DLSS 3.7 in MHW only records black screen with mouse cursor.
I have Game Recording to happen in the background but this is the first instance where I ran into this issue. Playing Monster Hunter Wilds with DLSS 3.7 enabled causes the recordings to only have audio and the only visual being picked up is a black screen with the mouse cursor. Occasionally STEAM Recording in general will just break after awhile.

Is this a known issue or is there a workaround to getting Steam Recording to work with DLSS?

I just came here to say this is also happening to me and I am very disappointed. For some reason the first time I booted up the game it was okay though. I don't know why it changed.

Edit: I'm including a snapshot for the record in case anyone else finds this thread.

A Chinese player thanks you. The same problem happened to me. I have been trying to solve it but can't find the reason. Thank you for pointing out that it is the problem caused by DLSS, otherwise the problem will always bother me. I don't need to use DLSS, just turn off DLSS to solve the problem. At the same time, I also hope that this problem can get official attention and be fixed. Best wishes!

Happening to me as well using the 'Latest' DLSS model override in the nVidia app. If I switch back to default in-game DLSS models the recording works again (but game looks worse).

same for me, hope someone has the solution

I got the same issue. :/

Same here. Anyone figured out a fix that doesn't include turning DLSS off?

I started my pc today after few hours and it seems the recording is now actually visible, but it wasn't right after I stopped playing, idk why

Same issue. Turning off DLSS is all that works for me.

Interesting. It works like half the time for a friend of mine, but I couldn't get it to work even once with DLSS enabled. Worked just fine in the beta though.

I wonder if it has something to do with me forcing DLSS 4 through the nvidia app.

I think it's exactly that. When I turn off forced latest DLSS in the app and go back to the in-game DLSS, Steam recording works again consistently (but the game looks and performs worse with those models for some reason, at least on my PC).

Yeah, DLSS4 is a massive improvement over DLSS3. Looks and runs a lot better. I really don't want to go back to using the previous version either.

Hope Steam rolls out a fix soon, or Capcom optimizes their game properly (preferably both lol). Recording clips with Nvidia Shadowplay still works just fine for me, so it should work, I think.

The real puzzle for me is I disabled all DLSS, app and in-game, and switched on the in-game AMD FSR with frame gen on and the AI upscale model, and now I get 75-85FPS instead of 45-55FPS... on a 3080. (Steam recording still doesn't work by doing that tho and I haven't tested Shadowplay)

The new nvidia driver update(05.03) was helped^^
