(Bug report) Failed to Export Try Again (2) (10)
I have all the settings default except size to 720p 30fps and Low quality 4MB in steams settings. Then, export panel, none of these settings work, H264 H265 Low Mid High none worked, it kept giving failed to export error. First (2) then (10) plenty of times.

I turned off all the GPU rendering from steam settings none worked, still same.

Right now I cannot use this Game Recording feature at all because of this and my clips stays in storage without able to export.

UPDATE: My latest video also quite low quality as it's compressed to the hell without me doing anything other than clicking "Export Video"

UPDATE2: Some of the options began working but it is still so fragile, it's unstable as far as I noticed on my end. H265 needs some quality of life fixes too I believe

Looks like new rendering/export panel does not like custom bitrate/fps/codec settings. Default works just fine, I think that is because quality in new panel (default settings) higher bitrate than original video file have.

Programmer Joe, can you good folks at Valve fix that? I'm hoping for a upcoming fix soon because otherwise whole game recording feature don't work because clips stays locked in steam game recording window as clips without me exporting.

UPDATE: Now my previous clip got glitched with another clip, needs some serious quality of life patches here I think.

same here, I can't export the video.
Same problem
Todays patch, still isn't working. I cannot export my videos as it gives 10 and 2 error codes.
Does anyone noticed the blank progress bar thing in the new export options panel? At the middle when u click "custom"? When I hit that it gives somekind black code error with a refresh button. Doesn't seem do anything.

Thank you for reporting these issues. Today's beta client update should help with some of the issues described above. We are also working on improved error reporting for the export path.

To ensure you are in the latest beta client, from the main Steam window, select the Steam Menu -> Check for Updates.

Thank you sir but there is simply so many things needs to be improved and fixed, such as GUI scaling on export panel, exporting progress bar scale and fixing the H265 related(?) "failed to export try again" This time text simply turned into red colour, error still there.

I believe messing with settings in export panel ruins the entire process, sometimes work sometimes not. I was able to use "Filesize" panel instead of "Custom" and was able to export in 250mb minimum but it was choppy and stutter.

Choosing 720p or 1080p in custom panel results in (blue progress bar thing, not the button)

Can't export using H265 sadly. Forced to use h264 even though the recording is in h265

Same, I can record in H265 however output is choppy and stutter. Plus Steam clip library does not read the H265 videos. I can export the original clip as original without edits but that is it, none of the other export options work.
Right now my exports are choppy and laggy unfortunately, process is simply is this: I record, I export directly which results in choppy video. That is because I think Steam Recording compresses the video during export.

Can you good folks at Valve please fix that.
