Game recording save to sd card
hi, it would be amazing if you added a setting in game recording that allowed you to choose if you want to save your background recording on your internal drive or sd card.

You can make a symlink for now. Something like this:
# remember to use Tab for autocompletion in terminal cd ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/<your steam id> # goes to your user directory mv gamerecordings /run/media/<your sd card>/ # something like "mmcblk0p1" ln -s /run/media/<your sd card>/gamerecordings # makes symbolic link
This way, Steam Client will still save to the old directory, but the underlying SteamOS will have that directory linked to the one on the card. Moving the directory to the card beforehand should guarantee your existing recordings are safe in the process (but I'm not liable if they disappear).

However, it will be useful if this was a real feature. That’s the problem that I don’t know why it dosent exist yet

Also would prefer this option. I actually bought an sd card specifically for recordings thinking it was already possible. Seemed like a no-brainer even for a beta feature that you ought to be able to change storage location. Symlink workaround is fine but should not be necessary.
