Video exports an .mp4, but it's unreadable by Twitter/etc.
Not sure what's going on, but before I could export a Steam Recording clip to an .mp4 and upload it directly to twitter without worrying about converting it or anything.

Past few updates I've had to run it through a converter to get it to upload. Not sure what happened but it's a little annoying.

Does it work on any other video hosts, like YouTube?

Open the file in VLC and go to Tools->Codec Information to find out what codec it is using.

Says the codec is MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hev1). I'll have to test Youtube later after work.

If it helps too, in Windows Explorer it used to show the video thumbnail when browsing them, but now it doesn't.

Actually just found the fix: whenever I went to export it I always did the "File Size" tab option and whenever I did, it automatically switched back to H.265 despite me disabling that codec in Settings and in the "Custom" tab.

Fix is just use the Custom tab and hit H.264
