Microphone settings from the Steam voice settings tab don't carry over to the recordings which causes mic to clip.
There seems to be no setting to change what microphone gets used to record, or how loud it is. The voice settings in steam don't have any effect on it. Now my microphone is way too loud and keeps clipping and also I can't change my microphone to the virtual one with OBS or RTX noise reduction.

Please fix Volvo, the recording feature is otherwise so useful.

Same here. My voice is too silent, automatic gain control helps, but It adds a lot of static noise. It would be nice to use the overlay voice tab settings globally. With windows 11 theres just too many ways/places to control voice options already

There are many posts on this with the solution posted. Uncheck Enable audio enhancements in the the mic properties in windows (under advanced tab)

Yea I found some solution to the clipping but that doesn't help with changing the volume or the microphone all together.
