Need Ability to Copy Recordings to USB drive or PC (Missing save to file option on Steam Deck)
I feel like I'm losing my mind trying to find something obvious, but I can't find it anywhere.
I want to do what should arguably be the most simple/obvious workflow for Steam Game Recording on Steam Deck. I want to record my games w/ the manual trigger option, then copy those recordings over to my PC to edit/use.
This is... impossible from what I can tell? I have an option to send recordings "to another device" THROUGH Steam if the file is under 100MB, but none of my recordings are. I literally just want to export my recording to a USB-connected SSD or save to the microSD card for me to then move to my PC.
None of this seems possible, and I'm baffled as to why. I've tried using the share options on raw recordings and making new clips, and nowhere is the "save to file" option (normally present in PC steam) available. Where did it go?!
I'm not going to sit here and trim my half-hour recordings to 60 seconds at a time to transfer to PC through Steam. That's an absurd expectation and it would be virtually impossible to seamlessly trim and line them back up. Just let me save the dang video file like every other recording tool on the planet.

Alright you CAN do this in Desktop Mode on SD as a workaround, but very tedious to do especially w/o a M&K plugged in

Agreed. It's a cool feature on the surface but you should be able to use USB to transfer footage to a PC.

Honestly they should just go for gold and make it possible to transfer files between a Steam Deck and PC using USB.

How is this possible? Could you outline how to do this, I can't seem to figure it out.
