Both audio input and output goes through the Focusrite, as I have my mic and headphones plugged into the device.
I did update my Focusrite drivers; issue persists. However, I did notice that when I use the Steam voice testing function, it either sounds like I've been inhaling helium and speak insanely high pitched anfd fast, or it sounds like I'm the drowsest person on the planet when I tweak my settings live while testing. So that's also a weird issue.
Steam Beta version 1726683985. Focusrite Control (v3.18.0 Includes Driver) for Windows 10. Issue is in all games, using a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with latest drivers (v.561.09).
Other software I use that capture audio device (but without issues) are Discord, Shadowplay and OBS. Games such as Phasmophobia and Lethal Company also captures audio device OK.
So in steam settings under audio, when i 'listen to microphone' it comes out normally. But only when recorded - and i suspect in game too... it comes out the left only.
Using a focusrite solo, and a compressor mic plugged in with XLR.
