[Steam Game Recording] Resolution Options, Bitrate Options Feature Request
Recording seems to be locked at 1920x1080, or at least locked at that at maximum. I game above that resolution, and it would be nice to at least have an option to record at a higher resolution. Being able to choose between options such as maybe "always record at this resolution or lower" or "always record at the game's native resolution" may be a good solution to this. Additionally, more bitrate options may be needed for other resolutions, but since this is more of an advanced user feature, having just a box where we can enter the video bitrate we want should be sufficient, since the average user would probably not enable these settings.

I guess while I'm writing this, being able to specify audio bitrate would also be nice.

Of course, I'm happy with any solution that allows me to record at the resolution I want effectively, so you don't have to take my word as gospel here, I'm just offering suggestions for how it may be accomplished, and I'm also welcoming feedback from other users to be posted in this thread about this.

Edit: noticed a small error after I posted this lol

I would also like to see additional resolution & bitrate options. A warning box should be added to inform the user of possible performance impact & large file sizes while still allowing these options.

+1 for higher resolutions. on ultrawide monitors specially important, it crops down from 3440x1440 to 1920x804

If it's a limitation of the hardware encoder, I'd appreciate that being made clear.

It's definitely not a hardware limitation
