Recorded microphone audio is completely cursed

I've been trying the new Game Recording function and everything works properly except microphone audio, which sounds like it's taken from analog horror audio.
Not sure if opened programs have something to do, but i usually just have Discord open.

Also other Game REC settings don't affect this, but I'm open to suggestions.

Yes, i can barely distinguish my voice on the recording, but it has that analog horror filter over it. And the sound stops when i disable mic recording on the steam Game REC settings.

For me it works fine, with the game audio, my mic and also the sound of my friends via discord is sounding fine.

But it sounds like this could be a driver issue or an your system not having enough resources to capture properly, but I assume the first one tho

Driver issue? Perhaps, but not sure where I could troubleshoot this. Now that I think of it, I haven't tried with other mics.

Where does the Game REC take the microphone input from? The default Windows one?

doesn't work at all for me. just game audio and no mic but i have 2 mics with completely different input vectors and nothing
