Any way to emulate instant replay?

Is there any way to save an instant replay quickly similar to how you can in shadowplay?
From my understanding if you're using background recording and something interesting happens you need to open the overlay and manually clip it. Not so great if you're in the middle of a multiplayer match.
Something like a keybind to save a clip of the last X minutes recorded.

You can press Shift F12 or take a screenshot both of these things leave markers for doing clips later. You don't have to create the clips mid round; The buffer persists between sessions.

Doesn't really work if you forget to go back and it gets overwritten, especially if you're only recording the last 10 or 20 minutes.
