how to choose recording fps?

I agree, what are they currently recorded at?
That being said, I can see the reasoning to stick to 60fps to avoid space issues or slowdowns, if someone wants higher tier recording they probably care enough to get a more feature packed setup

They are currently recorded at 60fps, however there seems to be no way to choose the resolution and the maximum bit rate of 24mbps leaves a lot to be desired, I personally usually record at 100mbps, I'm not sure why they limited this.

they made it low by default it to make sure that people with low drive space (like the steam deck, with or without an SD card) can save a lot of video without issue, but for the people who have the space to spare, i agree that they should not only be able to change the FPS, but also the bitrate manually instead of by presets.
