Split Game and Mic Audio Tracks
A feature that I really love from Shadowplay and OBS is the fact that you can put audio sources on separate audio tracks, so when you edit clips you can modify each audio track individually after recording. For example with Shadowplay I can have it set to always record my microphone, but if I don't want that audio in my clip I can just mute it in editing software and keep the game audio the same. I think this would be a great feature to have with Steam recording.

Considering that Steam is able to differentiate between game and desktop audio, it would also be great if you could split desktop audio into it's own track as well if possible.

I'd say this is incredibly important especially for something like tge steam deck with a mic so close to the speakers

Seconding this. Being able to split my microphone, discord audio, and game audio is key. Sometimes I just want a mix of 1/3 or 2/3 of the audio sources.

Sometimes I just want my mic and/or discord audio for soundboard clips.

Id love for separate audio tracks to be a thing as well.
I currently have a mixer that runs discord and my game through two different USB sound cards to keep them off the same track for OBS.

Seeing a feature like that in Steam recording would make it an everyday use for me

Seconded! I'll never know when a mic falling over or my own horrendous laugh is going to ruin a clip, so until this is added I'm just going to keep voice and discord recording off.

After it going public and unless I'm missing it, I don't see this feature so I am bumping this because this NEEDS to be available in Steam Recordings.

also bumping this. My laptop's mic sounds horrible and always adds a lot of noise to the recoridng that I can't remove.
