This feature is MANDATORY for my usecase, as Rubat explained for theirs I can not predict when I want my mic, my friends mics, and just the game audio before a moment happens, and for some games I want both within a short time from eachother.
For example, if I'm playing Dead By Daylight, most times I just want a clip of the game without me and my friends talking nonsense in the background, however moments later we might have an experience in-game where we make a joke about what is going on that is comedy gold and we wanna keep it. Currently this just isn't possible with this solution, but is with SteelSeries.GG where I can simply mute the non-game channels in most of my clips, and have it for the few I need it.
If Steam kept a seperate channel for each application I included when picking specific apps to include that would be amazing. However even if I could just manually include specific audio-lines that I manage with Steelseries.GG Sonar I'd be happy.
1. All combined - for viewing in vlc
2. Mic
3. Chat audio (discord) (basically built-in communication device in windows)
4. System audio (game, music, etc)
Joining all audio together is a dealbreaker for me
