[REQUEST] Change Controller Polling Rate

As the thread title suggests, it'd be very nice to have an option to change the polling rate of controllers through Steam Input menus.

Other apps like DS4Windows offer such functionality, which makes it so that inputs have less delay and analog tracking is more accurate in general. An example is the DualShock 4 which can go up do 1000hz polling (USB default is 250mhz for example) and DualSense which can go up to 8000hz.

agreed, I turn on ds4 and max the poll rate and it goes to 0.8ms delay from 3.5ms lol and I can finally dodge a lot of attacks from armored core vi boss, but it lack of rumble.

For regular use, 250hz doesn't cause issues. A difference of 2-3 milliseconds is not noticeable, especially considering people have and average reaction time of 250ms.

Where polling rates matter is when using gyro aiming. At 250hz polling rate, gyro feels choppy and laggy to the point of becoming unusable (Imagine if your mouse's polling rate was 250hz). 1000hz polling rate makes gyro significantly better. Because of this I currently have to use other software just to have gyro. So I would love to see this feature added to Steam.
