Steam crashes every time I hover mouse over any games in any list.

I am trying to watch a trailer or check how the game looks in preview while hovering it on the game in any list may it be sale ones or genre list. The steam crashes every time. The anti virus has kept steam and other games in exception so it's not that issue for sure but the recent update for steam client is cashing this issue.

Even clearing cache doesn't resolve this crash issue.

Steam and Valve Please help and resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Steam was crashing for me, when I hovered over collection, which was ordered by achievement %. It always froze and crashed the client. I was also receiving cleint crash when I unlocked an achievement while ingame. My achievement_progress.json was about 77000kb. Disabling gpu acceleration did not help.

What helped me was:
deleting download and library caches + Steam client reinstall

aye there is 2 cases for 2 differents bugs ;
one is link to a file corrupted from \steam\userdata\youruserdata\config with mainly the file achievement_progress.json , and it lead to a crash of steam while over collections or shelves.
one is link to the last nvidia ready drivers 551.76, surfing your library , store, friends pictures can lead to a crash of the steam client if gpu acceleration is enabled under steam.

i wonder if the news ready drivers 551.86 does not make steam crashing while gpu acceleration is on : i've checked the pdf of theses drivers and do not have seen any problems corrected in this way for our launcher but a feedback about their use and gpu on could be welcome for the people of this forum

IT WROKED FOR ME TOO! nvidia driver version is 552.12 here but anyway
Thank god i had no idea what could it be, this indicates my graphics card are obsolete?

When accessing the platform via the Steam Client, I was experiencing some viewing issues where the banners look glitchy.

I also had a problem that, when viewing an item in the catalog by exploring the store and hovering the mouse over a game, the system does not show me the game preview pop up and just restarts Steam as if it had crashed, it closes and opens again when hovering over the games. When searching for the game I can view the game page normally.

Drivers, disk and RAM error free and updated.
Steam is updated and cache is clear, error persists.

The error does not exist via the browser, only on the Steam client.

Games, on the other hand, have no problems running, just the store.

My specs attached: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz, 16GB RAM, 64bits,

got it under "interface" panel and switch off gpu acceleration , relaunch steam and go check if you still have issue
