i have now figured out what have happened to my items

i before posted that i would lose some items, suggestions were made along the way but none of it were the case, i now know its because steam has reverted some of my badges alongside with my items, it has simply done it by itself, i doubt its because the developers thought oh lets revert his badges and items ooh oh, no when i did borderlands 2 badge i remembered that ive already done it before and im like wth? ive really done it second time? and then i realized why i lost items, its because steam client has reverted the badges and the items included to it.. wow steam has really gone rogue.. and its all thanks to this new overhaul.. i am losing money on this bs if i have to redo over and over again...

ive lost around 20 badges, thats around 10k xp for profile levels so i got reverted 10 levels worth around 4-6€ including the belonging items from those badges.. ive always was like whats going on here? for the past 2-4 years ive been dealing with mysterious disappearence of items and didn realize it was because i lost some badges and it would also revert my xp n levels in the process

i wouldnt advice people too progress on their badges until valve has taken a look into this serious matter, it worries me whetever its just been me or all steam players that has been effected by this problem and if they even realized it

I have never encountered anyone that has ever had this issue all the years I've been on Steam.

do people remember or keep track of how many badges they have and items when they surpassed 100 or over thousands of them? i doubt any has realized this, exact same thing when a person was rewarded money for discovering a game purchase glitch.

Yes. You'd be surprised how well a lot of people keep good records of levels and xp.

I mean these are the same people that notice a single achievement out of a hundred thousand is missing or not counted.

people would probably notice their achivement missing IF it was affected

but since is it so rare and currently unknown how often it reverts one single badge each time then no i srsly doubt people would notice that one badge gone missing since all that matters is fast xp grind and its only one badge per unkown times it happens

people quickly forget that one badge and quickly move oon to the next and everytime their levels keeps increasing it wouldnt really affect their levels because they already maintain it via new unlockable badge, which means that the new badge has "replaced" the missing badge xp

thee more you spend on unlocking badges the quicker you forget that one badge was there, but if you leave it be for few years you might notice something strange going on

i believe it is only badges and the belonging items that are affected, cuz the moment i saw i had to redo borderlands 2 badge again, then i knew for sure

its eithere missing items or it just shows incorrect number

You're probably having coupons expire and being removed.
