Suggestion for the new Game Update Exception UI
It would be nice if the rest of the library showed up there or if I could write videogame titles and they showed up so I don't need to go back to the library, right-click each one of them, and customize the exceptions

It'd be nice to finally be able to force-disable updates on games I don't EVER plan on wasting more bandwidth on, or want to keep on a specific version. I genuinely don't even understand what the point of this update is in the continued absence of that option.

A handful of games like Rimworld offer nice comprehensive options for you to revert to in Betas, which is nice, but the vast majority of games do not. The two biggest offenders for me are Dungeon Defenders, which forces you to redownload the entire ~12 GB game about once a week with every update, and Skyrim for somehow still all these years later getting tiny insignificant updates pushed that waste bandwidth and break my entire mod loadout EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There's also the odd occasion of something like Rainworld 2 happening; an unskippable update gets pushed that destroys a game that was working fine previously.

It's ironic to me that we've had the Steam Workshop all this time and yet even now, with an update specifically targeting game updates, we can't have the simplest and most blatantly obvious underlying functionality to ensure that it doesn't break constantly.

If you check the responses to the Steam News post about the beta, it's about 60%-by-volume griping about this exact thing.
