[Discussions Suggestion]: Removal of Clown reward or negative reward.

So the existence of the clown award has prompted so very many people to basically just farm steam points by posting purposely conflict-generating posts under all sorts of games even ones they do not own using the most controversial topics they can think of.

I feel the clown award should either not give them points or should remove points as to not encourage this behavior; or a creation of a 0 point Thumbs Down award.

0 points thumb down will make it the new trend and encourage posters and devs to change posting strategy (lie, flatter and make volunteers post anything controversial to avoid getting ratioed themselves). Disagree is at least neutral.

Bigger problem is text discussion just shouldnt have such granulated reaction icons as "awards".
Got anything to add, post it using words.
It also increases accountability since people can get infracted or banned for bad posts but currently evade all accountability by degrading discussion mood by using reaction icons.

Shortterm, the cost of using jester could simply be made much higher than 600 points to say 3000 (reduce its use), and especially without awarding recipient any points (no reward for posting controversial takes).

I totally agree, the amount of sh*tposting has massively increased ever since the Jester awards. People just troll game discussion boards even if they don't own said game, playing up politics and asking ridiculous questions. It's made the boards insufferable.

I feel like points of any kind are nice, I just look at it as getting points nothing more. If an icon makes you upset maybe dealing with people online is not for you.

Setting the points to 3000 will do nothing I should know I have more points then I know what to do with.

Also may add that it's not the fault of the sites features its the lazy game devs not enforcing the rules.
