My voice chat won't allow me to connect to my friend keep saying that it's waiting for my friend to connect.. And my friends getting the same message when he tries to voice chat me I tried reinstalling steam and that didn't help

Recent update caused this problem for me too.

Voice chat was working fine last week, and now it's broken.
Currently on the native linux build.

Glad you guys are all here this confirms that it's not my machine , it's definitely steam related could possibly be an update I'm not restoring my computer just yet we'll give it a couple of days if I find the solution I'll be sure to inform you all I hope it's likewise good luck

Yeah had no issues for the longest time, while my friend has been having problems "connecting" and now I'm in the same boat.
