Background recording not showing up in library of recordings

First off, REPO wasnt launching with steam recording enabled so i instead enabled recording via overlay while the game was running.

After my game session I closed the game and I could not find the recording in steam client. I was able to locate the recorded files but they are m4s files and I am unable to view my recording.

I even tried renaming it as .mp4 but it doesnt work.

How can I make steam recognize the background recording from that session?
