Game Recording (Failed to Export Try Again (32))
Hey guys,
I've been using the gamerecording feature for a couple of days now and it seemed to work fine.
Unfortunately, I just had the problem mentioned on title.
Does anyone know any workaround for this?

Just started running into this issue now as well, I have exported many clips in the past but can't anymore

Same here, since today.

I've been using the steam video recording beta regularly and today ran in to "failed to export try again (2))" (the only change I'm making is swapping the directory back to where full videos used to export). This didn't happen before the new dialog and options were added in today or yesterday so it seems like the recent update is definitely the culprit. I appreciate the additional options that were added but since I can't currently export at all (videos are too long for clips) it doesn't matter much.

I'm also getting "Failed to export try again" but my error codes are (10) and (2)

Same, getting the failed to export try again (10) and (2) today, sometimes the whole steam client crashes. I exported videos yesterday, but now I have the new dialog to choose where and in what format to export, and it is unable. The video length is 8hrs+. Neither the Original nor the Custom export works, with either codec 264/265

Same here, however logging out and in to Steam Beta Client did something I guess and it worked for once then broke again.

Thank you for reporting these issues. Today's beta client update should help with some of the issues described above. We are also working on improved error reporting for the export path.

To ensure you are in the latest beta client, from the main Steam window, select the Steam Menu -> Check for Updates.

Thanks for the update on this boyd. I had to check for client updates and restart my client but exporting is working again. For anyone that notices slower export times it seems as though some automated compression is occurring that wasn't before.

The update doesn't seem to have fixed it for me unfortunately. Getting a new error message when trying to export clips though. "Unable to retrieve clip information (32)".
Trying to copy it to my clipboard still throws the "Failed to Export, Try Again (32)" error,
and saving it on Steam just doesn't do anything.

EDIT:
Seems to work fine with new recordings though which is great. I just wish I could somehow export the footage I made on the previous build.

My video was recorded on the previous build and exported correctly. I will note I'm not making any clips though, only exporting the full video. You might try exporting the full video then using something like LosslessCut to chop the segments you want. It's not as effortless but it's an option if you can get the video exporting in full.

I wasn't aware I could export full videos, interesting (and I'm not seeing the option unless I'm blind).
I've dealt with it already by playing my old recording in fullscreen and recording it again with shadowplay.
But I'll try that should it happen again. Thanks a lot!

When I click on "share" for the video there's an option near the top that allows me to export the entire video. Hopefully it's there for you!

Thanks heaps! I've been using it for a while and it's a heck of a good feature. Glad to know that Valve is keeping tabs on the problems and fixing them. Job well done to you guys.

For anyone still exporting can you please see if your exports are properly working at 60fps? Several of us are encountering issues where the frame rate is significantly lower after these last few patches and we're documenting in this discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3/4840897430886443218/
