FIXED:: Mic Peaking/Popping in Recordings

a bunch of my clips have my mic peaking and popping but sounds fine when testing in the settings. Also in Discord my friends said it sounds fine. Some kind of bug with Steam recording?

Anyone experience the same with a fix?

Edit:: issue was the Automatic Gain Control that I thought was already disabled since I had disabled it once. Shout to @Arctix in the comments for pointing it out.

I do. At the beginning it seemed to work just fine but now all my recordings have popping sounds although my mic works okay.

Are you recording your games on a hard disk drive? Cause I do and I think that may be the issue (?) I don't know.

Absolutely having this issue as well. I sound fine in my friend’s clips but when it’s my own recording it’s terrible. Hopefully someone can find a fix or something

Happening to me too! Glad it isn't just me. I have no peaking or popping issues anywhere else.

happening here as well, i use voicemeeter could be an issue havent tried without since like everyone else said it was working fine when i first started using it. i hope the problem resolves soon bc this is a much better recording option for me

im having the same issue it sucks lol. Hopefully someone finds a fix soon since once setup this feature is really convenient. I tried lowering my mic in steam settings but that doesn't really affect it either unfortunately

It's out of beta. Probably it's fixed by now, haven't tested it yet.
