From there, I can move them to an SD Card, USB drive, or just upload them to Youtube like normal.
Not sure if this is what you mean, but it is how I do it.
Edit:
Just to be clear, the keyword here is "EXPORT". That is what turns the clips into standard video files.
Do you know how to export it/turn it into a standard video file after the fact? I just do manual recording and I'm staring at my clips on desktop mode but can't even get them to play, and I assume that if I simply shared the file it wouldn't share as a video, correct?
1.) Open the Steam Client
2.) Click "View" from the top menu
3.) In the menu that pops up click "recordings and screenshots"
4.) Click the clip you want to work with, and it opens
5.) Click "Share"
6.) From the Share menu, click "Export Video File" then just choose how/where to save it
7.) Then just wait for it to finish exporting, and that exported file should be a normal video clip
My point was that the original recording is not a regular video file, at least the background recordings (which is what I use) are not.
THX BRO!
You saved my nerves!
Good Luck and Good Games!
