Why is the news feed section in library gone again?

It's one of the newer features I really like.
This is the 2nd time it's being removed. Why?!

Is it to useful to have all the update news of your recently played games in one spot...
Just make it optional for people who don't want it.

I even played some games I didn't touch for a long time because I saw update news for them in the library feed. ... just saying

edit 22. Aug. 2022: temporary fix for some people if the marked solution won't work, is to leave the steam beta.

edit: 19. Nov. 2023: Currently there doesn't seem to be a fix for the disappeared news feed. Also it doesn't matter if you're in beta or stable. People from both branches report it's missing, so an update will most likely resolve it this time.

It's not gone for good sadly, what has most likely happened is that you either closed all available news or they timed out (don't actually know if that's possible). Don't worry though it will, unfortunately, be back once you have more news that makes it to the What's New seciton.

Tbh, I wouldn't mind if it did disappear, I don't really even look at it at all anyways

I'd like it back too, I don't see why they can't make it optional to make everyone happy.

I don't think that's how the news feed works. You could sometimes even read articles that were 7+ days old, by scrolling to the right.
Also it would that a while to run out of new things to read with 500+ games so that's unlikely.

My guess is devs removed it so test and see if people actually want it back.
Or are there any patch notes to be found somewhere?
