Background recording pause function

Please add a background recording pause button from the steam overlay screen.

I like how background recording works in general. I set it up to roll 4 hours of recording, and typically before starting a new session i proceed to save at least part of the clips that I have marked on the timeline, starting with the oldest ones.
Sometimes I play some other game or do things I don't want to record, but the background recording is always active, unless I deactivate it completely from the options but I never do that, because it's a bit cumbersome to turn it off in the global options, a place where you should just "set and forget" things in my mind.
Most of the times I end up playing anyway, thinking in the back of my mind that I should not play for long or I will end up overwriting my previous clips not yet saved, but then it can happen that I forget to stop playing in time to do so, A simple "pause recording" button would have saved me much trouble all those times.

I'm also pretty wary when playing games now, just because I don't want to lose footage. I'm finding myself closing games when I go AFK and killing game processes incase they continue to record when they shouldn't. And when I couldn't access my recordings in the manager because of that one bug, I didn't want to play anything. I was afraid that I'd lose all my footage (I only lost a little bit, but that's on me).

This is a great suggestion and should totally be considered! I think adding a toggle to show a recording icon in the game overlay or where the fps counter goes would be a great addition alongside this!

The only problem is that Steam hasn't even added back the show on disk button in the recording & screenshot manager. Has me a little worried...
