No audio in recording.

Since steam went down for me a huge part of my recordings got no audio. It just randomly made last 30 minutes of recordings have no audio for no reason. I double checked and everything seems fine otherwise. I don't know if steam going down and online bugged something. It works fine now since I restarted.
I didn't change volume or touch anything before and since it happened.

Same. There's no option to chose inputs other than system default.

There are options record audio from and a dropdown menu of what you want. But my issue isn't related to that. My audio just randomly stopped working in big section of the pre-recorded clip.

Audio stops in some games but works without problems in others with this new function

There is: Steam>settings>game recording> scroll down to the audio recording category> record audio from: select one of the 3 options shown, Steam will automatically do the rest of the work

This problem still exists imo. It happens randomly in my experience. Sometimes it will be fine in a game, then 30 minutes later I'll lose audio from that point onwards.

Yeah still exist with some games, for example with battlefield 4 it will record the scene without problems but audio will be muted or play for a few seconds then go silent again.

That's for Nvidia own recording, the problem is with steam own recording function. So this fix will not work with it since it's a problem from valve side

I've given up on Steam recordings. They've been trying and failing for months to get it right. Every time they fix something, they break something else. At least Shadowplay works.

Medal TV is much better than ShadowPlay. It allows to record only game audio super easily. No subscription need at all

Steam record has same functions as medal or other programs now including how heavy or light you want your video. But sometimes medal tv leaves dumb intro/outro or watermarks

Sadly since the new Nvidia app, shadowplay lost features. It doesn't give us an option to record "game only" audio, that's the big advantage Steam has. But seems to be broken, any solution by now?

your best solution would be to make sure what your audio devices are active and make sure its using the correct ones.
