Kicking Steam Family Members how does it work?

Does anyone know what happens and how Kicking someone from Steam's Family Sharing actually works?

Leaving a Family has a 1 year cooldown both for people to fill that slot and also for you to enter a new Steam Family, but if you get kicked do those consequences still apply?

If an Adult kicks another Adult from the Steam Family does the same outcome apply to you as if you had left?

And if an Adult kicks a Child from the Steam Family does that apply the same or does it change in some shape or form?

Just curious about how that system works since a 1 Year Cooldown is a lot of time if you do something accidentally or without the prior knowledge.
