i think that a ticket system would be ideal to argue your situation
And the year starts when you JOIN a family, not leave it, so it isn't a full year.
I've made a group and invite 5 accounts, i removed the account 5, then i saw my slot was still there, so i invited a different account.
Then i removed that recently added account, and invited again the account 5.
Seems that the penalty is in the accounts, not the slots
A few months should be good.
If you leave a family you have to wait a whole year to join a new family?
I am waiting for one of my best friends to have a free slot in his family which should be by July of 2025 and while i wait, I joined the family group of another friend so i just want to clarify that to see if i should be leaving the current family right now or i can stay until the cooldown has passed.
Thank you for your responses!!
when someone leaves a family, that slot has 1 year cooldown from when someone left.
So I had to explain to a 13 year old he can't play my games because of his 14 year old brother for a year. Will someone from Steam please explain to my 13 year old nephew why a year is a reasonable amount of time? Also while I wait 365 days, it makes no difference to the brother if i share or not, whom caused this. Naturally the younger nephew's first impressions are he hates Steam, and has Xbox Gamepass and buys via their store.....
As to why kids can designate themselves adults?????!? why is this allowed, surely just ask for payment details of a previous purchase...?
And you blame valve, that you joined a "family" before making sure who is in it?
Kind of sounds like you are still a child and blame everyone else for your errors.
And most of the time you don't change your family in a year, most of the time it stays the same.
