Flick Stick 180 degree issue Update: fixed
Flick Stick is amazing and works almost perfectly, I only found one issue when trying to flick down (180 degrees). The camera moves a little more than 90 degrees left/right (random) instead of directly behind me as expected. Flicking to positions close to 180 works fine.

edit: Did some proper testing today and it turns out my Steam Mouse Sensitivity was too high. I ruled this out at first because I did adjust the Game Frame Rate slider to compensate, but it didn't do anything no matter what value I used. I assumed that meant my sensitivity was fine and something was wrong with Steam. Either Game Frame Rate doesn't work as intended, or more likely, I misunderstood what it does.

edit2: The latest update fixed/changed "Game Frame Rate" to "Flick Duration". I can now max out my Steam Mouse sensitivity and minimize my in-game sensitivity without breaking 180. Big thanks to the Steam Input team!

I think it's ending up at either 270°/450°, making it seem like it's only turning 90°. When the sensitivity is set too low for a 90° flick to turn the camera a full 90°, a 180° flick manages to turn the camera a bit further than 180°. At least on my end
How do you even set up the flick stick? Please help :(.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't know how to test it. Either way, it's something to look at but luckily not a huge issue. A 170 flick with gyro compensation works fine for now.

I'll probably stick with using joyshockmapper for now since I'm already used to how it's supposed to function.

I was looking forward to using it with the steam controller so I can have a free grip button for disabling the gyro, so I'm sad to see it's not quite right. The fact that it's been implemented into steam input at all is really cool though and I'm confident it'll get fixed up soon

Having the same issue. Flicking left and right works great, I can also do a full 360 degree spin if I roll the stick along the edges. But when I flick it to the back, it turns me either left or right.

If you solved the issue, can you please explain how? What does "Steam Mouse Sensitivity was too high" means, and how do I change it?
Each frame the game is resetting the mouse position to the center of your screen. If your in-game sensitivity is low we might need to send a larger mouse delta than will fit on your screen, since we can only move it to the edge of the monitor before it get's stuck and further mouse movement will not do anything. If that's the case Steam will try to chunk out the mouse delta you wanted to send over multiple frames. The frame rate slider must be set to something lower than your game's frame rate for this to work but you're probably better off just setting the in-game sensitivity to something higher so that you can do a full 180 with mouse delta's that fit on your screen.

This is also very affected by mouse acceleration so make sure that in-game and Windows mouse acceleration is disabled if you want it to work well.

Could you share what your settings were? I have the exact same problem and I want to make sure it's not my config.

EDIT: So I found out another possible fix. If your Steam Mouse Sensitivity is cranked all the way up and your flick stick still isn't doing 180s, try increasing your in-game sensitivity. I doubled my in-game sensitivity and left all other settings at the defaults and I'm now able to do 180s no problem with flick-stick.

In the binding menu, where you select Flick Stick, there's an option called Mouse Sensitivity. Lower that and increase the in-game sensitivity to compensate.

Thanks for the clarification. The frame rate slider doesn't have any numbers, how do we know what to set it to?
Im having a similar issue- Im trying this out with HL2, rolling the stick works great, but I cant get the actual "Flick" to work. Whenever I move the stick down or to the left or right, it just acts as if ive pushed forward and lets me rotate the stick to turn, but my Camera doesnt rotate
I’m having the same problem as Marblesbees. The rolling works just fine, but the actual flicking doesn’t really work.
Please post more info like the game you're having issue with, your frame rate, etc. Also please try turning up the in-game mouse sensitivity if flicks are not working well. We are trying to send the flick faster than Joyshock Mapper did and that might not work in all games. I would like to see how many games are affected etc to figure out if it should default to be slower or have it as a setting.

I'm playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 50-60 fps. The Game Frame Rate slider doesn't seem to have any affect on compensating for high Steam sensitivity in my tests.
