Friend activity is not showing game purchase AT ALL now ?

I thought only the games that buy in private won't show on the activity wall but it seems that all of these info are not showing at all now?

It is such a shame that Steam hide these info without giving us the option. I don't mind sharing the game purchase activity or seeing what games my friends buy. If some ppl want to set this in private, i respect that but don't drag all ppl into it.

Activity feed seems to be kinda bugged currently.
I've seen people reporting it won't show games marked as public, but what I myself discovered is that when I had a game marked for Private, it still displayed the "Played for the first time" notification.

Yep, I wanted to see what games my friends have purchased during the steam winter sale and... nothing. Please fix it Steam!

yup and its so annoying, as most of the time during sale i check what friends are purchasing and then usually check out the game if its at a very good discount.

I'm so sad, I used it to keep track of which one of my friend already made purchases during sales and avoid gifting lower tier games, now I cant even tell

Yeah, that's a shame. I always used those updates to check whether I overlooked a particular nice deal.

"Six people have bought this game in the last two days? Must be good!" - or at least some good reason for that [imminent removal, e.g.].
