how do u check last years steam year in review

Easiest way to find your review for last year or this year is to go to your profile, hit "edit" and then add a new showcase. Choose to showcase the review. There you can choose which year to showcase. Then save the new profile. Go to your profile and now you can just click on the review summary there to take you to the full review.
Also seems to be the best way if you wanna share it with friends as the link to it often doesn't work properly (even when people have a fully public profile). But it seems to always work if you go via their profile if they have the review showcased.

The review from this year can also still be found one the Steam store. Just scroll down a bit past the Awards voting and sticker claiming and you'll find the link to this year's review.
