Steam emoticons - In chat emoticon list cuts off after a certain number and cannot display all owned emoticons.

I am an avid emoticon collector and have purchased a very large number from steam marketplace. I have now found that the emoticon list in Steam chat cuts off after a certain number, currently in the middle of the V section of my alphabetical list of emoticons, making W-Z inaccessible without searching the desired emoticon by name. I'd like to be able to browse all of my emoticons by eye and this issue is chilling my motivation to continue collecting from the Steam marketplace. Please advise.

Does it actually cut off or does it just not load the images?
I never heared of a cut off in said list but that images are not loading is something very common with a large number of emoticons. Just scroll up and down a few times and they will pop up eventually.

A few points:
Unloaded images can still be clicked, my cut off ones cannot.
Images appear to load in random order, not in sequence. It would be inconsistent with the behavior I've observed for only the bottom of the list not to load.
My scrollbar loads to full length even before the images do. That length is not enough to accomodate the several more lines worth of missing images.
It consistently fails to load past the same point every time; currently as far as veneticaraven.

Edit: Just to verify, I just acquired and checked again; veneticaraven is now gone, the cutoff has moved exactly one emoticon down the list. It's capped, confirmed.

So on further contact with Steam support I've been advised a solution doesn't exist unless they maybe change something in the next major chat update and that I should post about it here. Doing that, I guess. Some other collectors have asked before for an option to define tabs in the emoticons list to sort them; this would be a great quality of life feature and also cut down on the number the client has to display at once. Anyway, I guess I'm out.
