I Can't Move Games From Drive To Drive Without Updating Them First
This happens in BPM as well as in normal mode. I keep certain games on my HDD when I'm not actively playing them. When I try to move them back to the SSD, the client tells me I can't move them until I update the game. #1, Updating it on my HDD is SLOW and it should allow me to move it to the SSD FIRST, #2 Some of my games are modded, and I don't WANT to update the game, I just want to move it, #3 it puts extra miles on my HDD to update things there for no good reason. My HDD is for long-term storage, and the less I can run it the better. Please fix this. I'm almost positive this was not the way this operated before the new client was released, and even if it was, this is an oversight that should be corrected.

I just move them with cut and paste into steamapps\common, and then cut and paste the appmanifest_appid.acf into the root of the SteamLibrary\steamapps of wherever you installed the game at.

the path will be wrong in the acf file but steam should fix the path if it's wrong anyways.

Restart steam and the games should be there just like before.

also you can get the steam game id from the store page from part of the url.
example
/app/number/

Yeah, I've had a Steam Account for almost 20 years now, and I'm familiar with manually moving files around. Since they went and added an in-client tool though, it would be nice to be able to use it, and have it function better. This is especially true for all my normie friends who find even doing something as simple as associating Steam with their games to be a challenge.

Hey just thought I mention that as far as manually moving games goes, If you just cut and paste the game to the new drive, then "uninstall" it from your library, and then "reinstall" it via the Steam Client, it will re-associate everything on it's own, ezpz. No client restart necessary or anything eaither.
